Terms & Conditions of cOMmon

1. Who we are and what these Terms are

The cOMmon platform is currently provided and operated by Solvondo BV (Belgium). These Terms form an agreement between you and Solvondo BV.

cOMmon is a digital platform that supports people in connecting, learning, and collaborating around regenerative initiatives. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms and any policies referenced here.

A cooperative entity is being established to support the broader cOMmon initiative. Until a formal transfer is completed and communicated to Members, Solvondo BV remains the contracting party and responsible platform operator. References to a future cooperative entity describe an intended development only and do not, by themselves, create cooperative membership, ownership, voting rights, repayment rights, profit rights, or a transfer of contractual responsibilities.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Definitions

Member: any registered user of cOMmon.
Rootsers and Roamers: ways of participating that may change over time or context.
Member-to-Member Arrangement: any agreement, collaboration, exchange, or commitment made directly between Members, whether through or outside the platform.
Contributions: any form of value exchanged, including time, knowledge, money, barter, or other forms recognized within the community.
Credits: internal units used within certain features. They are not money, not redeemable for money, not transferable outside the platform, and do not create ownership, investment, or financial claims.
Commitment Credits (if used): internal coordination signals intended to support reliability. They are not deposits, escrow, insurance, or legal compensation, and do not create an expectation of profit or reimbursement.

3. What cOMmon provides

cOMmon provides an online environment where Members can create profiles, share projects/spaces, communicate, and coordinate activities. Some features intended to support visibility, coordination, or trust may evolve over time.

4. Role of cOMmon

cOMmon facilitates connection and coordination. cOMmon is not a party to Member-to-Member Arrangements and is not an agent, broker, employer, or representative of any Member.

cOMmon does not guarantee identity, quality, safety, legality, or outcomes of any interaction, Member, listing, or activity. Members remain responsible for their own decisions and interactions.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into agreements.

6. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate access where needed to protect Members, prevent misuse, or enforce these Terms and community guidelines. Where appropriate, we may provide notice, but we are not always able to do so (for example, in urgent safety situations).

7. Member responsibilities

Members are expected to act with care, honesty, and clarity, including representing offerings truthfully and communicating openly.

Members are responsible for the safety, legality, and sustainability of their own activities and for setting clear expectations in any arrangement.

8. Member-to-Member Arrangements

All arrangements are made directly between Members. Members are responsible for defining scope, timing, changes, cancellations, and compliance with applicable laws and safety requirements.

cOMmon may provide coordination tools, but does not enforce agreements and does not provide legal or financial adjudication.

9. Platform signals, statuses, reviews

The platform may show statuses, confirmations, reviews, or other signals to support coordination and learning. These are contextual and operational and do not constitute legal judgments or guarantees.

If you believe something is incorrect or unfair in context, you can request a human review.

10. Payments and financial responsibility

Payments between Members happen directly between those Members, unless the platform explicitly offers a payment feature for that specific exchange.

Platform-level purchases from cOMmon (such as memberships or paywalled access) may be processed through a payment provider (for example Stripe). cOMmon does not store full payment card details.

cOMmon may receive platform-level payments such as memberships, support contributions, or funding contributions to support development of the platform and the broader initiative. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, such payments do not create shares, ownership rights, voting rights, repayment rights, profit rights, or any investment claim. Any future cooperative membership or governance will be subject to separate terms and explicit confirmation.

Members remain responsible for their own financial agreements, taxes, invoices, and records.

11. Credits and internal value mechanisms

Credits and similar mechanisms are internal features intended to support participation and exchange. Their functioning may change as the platform evolves. Where relevant, we will explain the current rules in the platform.

Credits are not money, not refundable as money, not transferable outside the platform, and do not create ownership, investment, or financial claims against cOMmon.

12. Cancellations and platform-level purchases

Changes and cancellations between Members are handled by those Members.

Refund rules for platform-level purchases depend on the type of purchase and applicable law. Where a right of withdrawal or refund applies, we will honor it.

13. Disputes and community process

Members are encouraged to resolve disagreements directly. A community-based or facilitated process may be offered as voluntary support and does not replace legal processes.

cOMmon may take platform-level actions based on behavior or safety considerations but does not determine legal rights or liabilities between Members.

14. Content, acceptable use, and reporting

Members retain ownership of the content they post. By posting content, you grant cOMmon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the platform (including moderation and safety operations).

You may not use the platform to harass or intimidate others, mislead or defraud, impersonate, violate privacy, share illegal content, spam, or encourage unsafe or unlawful activities.

You can report harmful behavior or content through platform channels or via [email protected].

15. Platform records

Platform logs or summaries are provided for convenience and may be incomplete. Members are responsible for keeping their own records where needed.

16. Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, cOMmon is not liable for outcomes arising from Member interactions, Member-to-Member Arrangements, or Member activities.

To the extent permitted by law, cOMmon is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the higher of: (a) the amount you paid to cOMmon for the platform in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) the equivalent of one month of the current membership fee, unless a higher minimum is required by law.

18. Privacy

Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. The latest version will be available on the platform. Where appropriate, we will notify Members of material changes. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance.

If operation of the platform is transferred to another legal entity in the future, we will inform Members and update these Terms.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer in the EEA, mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. Courts in Belgium have jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
