Help and guidance
A human point of support for your arrival at cOMmon.
Ask questions, report issues, or get help with your profile and first steps.
Before you reach out
Sometimes your question already has a simple answer.
This page helps you quickly check the most common questions before reaching out,
and if you still need support, we’re here for you.
Nothing here replaces human contact. It’s simply a first place to look.
Am I a rootser or a roamer, and why does it matter?
This choice reflects your relationship with land and place.
-
Roamers are on the move, traveling, exploring, or working across different locations.
-
Rooters are more place-based, caring for land, holding local knowledge, or tending a local ecosystem.

This distinction is expressive, not limiting.
Rooters and Roamers have the same features and possibilities on cOMmon.
Life changes, and you can always update this later.

Do I need to have everything figured out before joining?
No. cOMmon is something you grow into.
You can start simply and shape your profile, skills, and contributions over time.
Questions are part of the process, not a problem.
Is cOMmon free?
cOMmon is free to join.
Right now, our focus is on growing an active, caring community and letting the ecosystem find its natural rhythm. You can create an account, explore the platform, and participate without memberships.
In the future, we plan to introduce memberships to support the long-term sustainability of cOMmon. You will always have access to a free (limited) account.
Any future paid features or cooperative contributions will always be optional and clearly communicated. We believe trust grows through clarity, not surprise.
Still need help?
If your question isn’t answered here, or something doesn’t feel right, you can always reach out directly.
We aim to respond within 24 hours, and we take care to meet you as a human, not a ticket number.
