So much already exists. It is just not always connected.
People are growing food, restoring land, creating places, sharing skills, caring for others and building different ways of living.
But too often, people and projects carry too much alone.
A place may have land but lack knowledge. Someone may have years of experience but nowhere to use it. What is needed may already exist nearby, but the connection is missing.
What becomes possible when we can see each other better?
Spaces & Collaborations
At the heart of cOMmon are physical spaces.
Farms, homes, campsites and other places give collaboration somewhere to land: places where people can grow, build, learn, care, gather and experiment.
Spaces are the anchors. The network is what can move between and around them: people, knowledge, skills, care, resources and connections.
Sometimes what a Space needs is already nearby. Sometimes useful knowledge comes from further away.
Start where you are
The Cooperative
cOMmon was never intended to remain something built and carried by one person.
As the network grows, we want to explore how more of its infrastructure, responsibility and direction can gradually be carried together.
Not everyone needs to help govern or build the cooperative. For many people, simply being part of cOMmon is enough.
Build in the open
cOMmon is not a finished system.
Some parts already exist. Others are still taking shape. What we learn through real places, relationships and experiences continues to influence what cOMmon becomes.
We prefer to make that process visible rather than pretend we already know every answer.
